Sizing

The 10-foot head ceiling is the figure to size against. Flow drops as lift increases, so a waterfall near 10 feet will deliver well under 1,070 GPH at the spillway. If your run exceeds that, move up to the AquaForce 2149 or 3868 rather than running this one at its limit.

Solids handling

The pre-filter cage keeps larger debris out of the impeller while still allowing the pump to move water carrying sediment. That's what separates it from a mag-drive pump, which has to sit behind a filter.

Plumbing and reach

Discharge accepts 0.75", 1", 1.25", 1.5", and 2" fittings, so it adapts to most existing plumbing. The 25-foot cord is the longest in the AquaForce line.
