A spitter adds a second water feature to a pond or waterfall setup: a sculpted piece, often shaped like an animal, urn, or classic fixture, that pours a stream of water from an elevated point rather than cascading over rock or tiers. Most are mounted on the pond's edge or a nearby wall and plumbed back into the same system.
Most pieces here are cast in polyresin, which is lightweight, UV-protected, and takes on the look of real stone or bronze at a fraction of the weight and cost of the real thing. Several ship with their own pump included, so check the product details to see whether a separate pump is needed.
Because a spitter typically shares plumbing with a pond or waterfall's main pump, it's easiest to plan for at the time the feature is built rather than added on afterward.
