Fountain lighting is built to run submerged or partially submerged, sealed against constant water contact in a way that standard landscape lighting isn't. Most pieces here mount inside or at the base of a fountain, aimed up through the falling water to light it from within, which gives a different effect than lighting a fountain from the outside.
Color-changing models cycle automatically or hold on a single color, useful for evening entertaining or matching a color scheme without buying separate fixtures for each option. Standard white or warm-white lights give a more understated look for anyone who just wants the fountain visible after dark.
Check the fountain manufacturer's specs before buying a replacement light. Many fountains use a proprietary fitting or a specific voltage, and a universal submersible light won't always fit the housing it's replacing.
