Wind-Sense flameout sensor

The sensor detects a flameout and responds, which is the failure mode that matters most on a propane feature: a wind gust puts the flame out while gas keeps flowing. Paired with a CSA-certified burner, this is a materially different safety specification from a table with a simple valve knob.

The Pivotglide lid

The patented lid slides to give access to the propane tank and slides back to conceal it, housing hoses, connectors and components inside the unit. No access door to leave ajar, no hose visible. Molded grooves in the base let you reposition the pit without lifting it.

Runtime and output

70,000 BTU with up to 10 hours of burn time on a standard 20 lb tank, so a full evening doesn't mean swapping cylinders.

Materials

UV20-rated resin and powder-coated metal, engineered against fading and corrosion. The UV rating is the specification to care about in strong sun, where cheaper resin chalks and fades within a season or two.

Setup

Three steps: position it, add a standard 20 lb propane tank, fit the top and media. No gas line required. Base, top, lava rocks, ignition battery, and a 20 lb tank connector are included. The tank itself is not.
