The entry skimmer in the Signature Series, rated for ponds up to 200 sq ft and pumps up to 3,000 GPH, with a 6-inch weir.

Sizing

Surface area and pump flow both have to fit. Above 200 sq ft or 3,000 GPH, move to the Signature Series 400 (400 sq ft, 4,000 GPH) or the 1000 (1,000 sq ft, 10,000 GPH). Running a larger pump against this chamber will starve it.

Houses the pump

The pump sits in a dedicated chamber inside the skimmer, shielded from the debris the weir is collecting. That placement is what extends pump service life and keeps the plumbing out of sight, and it's the main reason to run a skimmer rather than a floating intake.

Servicing

A large leaf and debris net lifts out for emptying, and a secure lid protects the internal components between cleanings. Hardware is corrosion-resistant.
