Before first use
The handle ships pre-assembled on the underside of the lid for packing. It has to be removed and refitted to the top face before the cover is used. This step is specific to this size, so do not assume it matches how the 27 by 11 or 39 by 15 arrives.
Storage
The lid can be turned over and set inside the fire pit while the feature is in use.
